As Managing Editor of at.Geist.com, it's probably no surprise I have loved writing ever since I was old enough to make up a story and write it down on paper. My first taste of journalism was in high school, where I was editor-in-chief of the school paper. My favorite type of story then (and now) was a good feature article on an interesting person. I decided early on to pursue journalism during my college years at Ball State, where I worked on the Ball State Daily News, interned at the Kokomo Tribune, and then went to work for The Muncie Star (now the Star-Press). After graduating, I took a job as a reporter for the Noblesville Daily Ledger (Topics building in Fishers). When my first child was born in 1999, I switched careers to motherhood and now enjoy staying home with my three children. Through the years, I have done freelance journalism, photography and corporate writing. In 2006, I started writing for atGeist, eventually becoming Managing Editor. I have enjoyed meeting many of my "neighbors" who are doing fascinating things. There are so many great people and great stories to be told "at Geist!"
